Household Moving Tips

By Makespace

  • Make arrangements with your mover and get scheduled about 30 days in advance of your move date (especially if you’re moving in the summer months…May – September)
  • Purge any items “not going” before having a visual survey/cost estimate performed
  •  Review the list of “non-allowable” items and make arrangements to transport these items yourself, give them away, or properly dispose
  • Be sure to prepare and take items you’ll need while your goods are in-transit (i.e. clothes, prescription medication, etc).  This is especially important if you have an infant.
